Sometimes there are things in life that feel so large that you wonder how you will ever endure or achieve it. In "mountain seasons" I cling to the prophetic declaration given by Zechariah to Zerubbabel during his season of rebuilding the temple:

Then he said to me, “This is what the Lord says to Zerubbabel: It is not by force nor by strength, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies.

7 Nothing, not even a mighty mountain, will stand in Zerubbabel’s way; it will become a level plain before him! And when Zerubbabel sets the final stone of the Temple in place, the people will shout: ‘May God bless it! May God bless it!’”

Zechariah 4:6-7

I can't imagine the political, emotional, and spiritual pressure experienced by the leaders and men who endeavored to obey God to rebuild the destroyed Temple in Jerusalem. However, God promised Zerubbabel that this mountain would become a plain. And history proves it true.
